A RECENT EDITION TO MY WEBSITE

As a visitor you may like to make suggestions for what you would like to know about my methods and helping ways.

Also I’ll discuss various issues that come up in my practice and relate these to a wider range of people.

Quick quips –

Quit the smokes - of recent months more and more people want to quit the smoking habit than ever before – more so than when regulations in the state of Victoria outlawed smoking in bars, clubs and similar places in 2007.

Almost all my people agree that it is anti-social nowadays and want to join the long list of others who have successfully and easily beaten the habit with hypnosis.

Throughout my 15 years in practice the main presenting issue has mostly been quitting smokes. About 5 out of 10 are for the smokes, 2 or 3 for weight loss and one or two for a whole range other emotional issues.

Regression At times someone will demand regression even to the point of going back to womb or life before life – past lives.

I usually refuse such a request preferring to work on this life (they always have unresolved issues) and if it is meant to regress further then it will do so quite naturally.

Wanting it too much (curiosity) usually just leads to a negative unsuccessful outcome.

The past These days (and counseling has changed in many ways since my earlier learning in the eighties) but it is so important to “stop them ruminating” – that means to get the client to quit going over and over the old, unwanted past baggage and dwelling on the negative. So many people want to do this, but I can guarantee they have been over it with many other counselors and confidantes, probably even with the hairdresser.

I quickly show them to alter their thought and thinking and let the negative go into a “box” and seal it – the past can’t be altered, the power is in the now. We function in the now and only allow the good memories to preserve. Once we learn these then lots of other good memories come up, even about the perpetrator. Once you found ruminating was the easiest and comfort zone thing to do – was it not? Here is another more positive way.

In next newsletter I’ll deal with

The stage connection and misconceptions most seem to have.

The lesser known uses for hypnotherapy.

What do you think about Imagery/visualization versus willpower – which is the more effective?  Maybe there’s a surprise in store for you.
