BUILDING DESIGN  &  PLAN DRAFTING

As a registered Building Design Practitioner, I can administer to clients interested in building or renovating to produce drawings for a planning or building permit. The range of tasks encompasses :

- preparing sketch and detailed drawings and plans;

- discussing designs with clients and builders;

- preparing specifications for approval by local authorities and for use by builders and tradespeople.

- interpreting client needs for a new home or renovations.

- consulting with engineers and other specialists involved in the project.

Completion of the building construction phase is usually controlled by the owner. Plan Drafting and Building Design usually but not necessarily, entails less responsibility and work than an Architect and is reflected in a cheaper price.
